I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. I moved out to Los Angeles, California for a few years to expand my photo skills, but my home will always be Texas. I take pictures everyday. All kinds. I find something interesting in every subject. I love to turn photographs into prints or digital designs. I challenge myself to capture and print engaging images with multiple mediums. My work is about discovery and the subjectivity of photographs and what they mean to my self and to others. I believe photographs have the potential to transcend the beholder beyond the reality of the two-dimensional plane to another universe of time. I love to see photographs from space because not only do I find them visually interesting, but they also allow me to comprehend something that is far beyond my own scale and perspective. Photographs are like galaxies in a way. They’re made up of billions of dots, whether pixels or grains, whose proximity to each other allows me to see the bigger picture. For me, photography has always had more weight of realism than any other art form because it’s a mechanical record of my own point of view; when or wherever I am in time and space. I have a M.F.A in Photography and a B.F.A in Computer Graphic Arts.
